It all started....
2001
I was deeply inspired by Viswanathan Anand's remarkable journey and success in the world of chess, which motivated me to take up the game myself and explore the strategic depths it offers.
2007
My first significant achievement came when I became the National Junior Runner-Up, a milestone that marked a pivotal moment in my journey.
2011
I achieved the prestigious title of International Master, a significant milestone in my chess career.
2013
I proudly became India’s 33rd Grandmaster, a momentous achievement that solidified my place among the elite players in the world of chess.
2016
I took a significant step forward in my career by starting professional coaching, an endeavor that allowed me to share my knowledge and experience with aspiring chess players.
2017
I began training Gukesh, one of India's most promising young chess talents. Working closely with Gukesh, I not only aimed to impart my knowledge and insights but also encouraged him to develop his unique style of play and foster his mental resilience.
2018
I began training Surya Sekhar Ganguly, one of India's top chess grandmasters, a journey that was both challenging and incredibly fulfilling.
2021
I have the privilege of heading the Hatsun Chess Academy, an institution dedicated to nurturing young chess talent and promoting the game at all levels.
2024 (February)
I joined CircleChess, an innovative and dynamic chess organization, a decision that marked an exciting new chapter in both my personal and professional chess journey.
2024 (June)
I founded the Madras School of Chess with the vision of creating a premier chess academy dedicated to fostering talent, promoting the intellectual depth of the game, and providing world-class training to chess enthusiasts of all ages.
